Daily Wrist – Elliot Havok Edition 2/5/18
I’m realizing just how nice this Elliot Havok Quarter Century is.
It’s rather elegant in a subtle way.
Got this a while back and can’t remember if it was a trade?
It features a sapphire crystal, Swiss movement, 316L Stainless Steel, and 5ATM water resistance.
It’s rather light on the wrist and the leather band is comfortable without being annoying. I had a Seiko Solar with the most uncomfortable leather band and it’s now on a Zulu strap.
The case has a curvature so that the edges of the watch do not dig in to my wrist as I go about my day of consulting, retouching and gaming.
The strap is a quick release – though I have not priced any new straps – it’s easy to change the look of the watch by sliding the release on the back and putting another color on.
The one downside is the lack of any noticeable lume on the hands or dial, but that can be remedied with a steady hand and some lume paint. I’ll pass on doing it myself…it would look like a Jackson Pollack!
